5th Annual Downtown Seder

Sunday, March 25 ~ 3:00 pm at Pico Union Project

Join us for this annual celebration of God’s work of liberation from generation to generation. We will gather as one family of many faiths, languages and cultures during a season when many faith traditions affirm that love can conquer fear and life can conquer death’s hold on our physical and spiritual selves.

In Pico Union Project fashion, this will not be a Seder in the traditional sense but a journey traveled by people of good will through storytelling that sets us free to be servants of God’s love in our world.

naked. An art happening.

naked“naked.” It is an evening of art centered around the subject of nakedness. The happening will be held in an immersive space and will feature photography, visual art and video installations, nude dance, public conversation, and live music from upcoming indie bands. We hope that this project will reframe our perception and conversation of the human form and the way it is presented in contemporary pop culture and media.

30 Days, a Journey of Love, Loss and Healing

Nearly a year after the death of his in-laws, Craig Taubman understood the sustaining power of the Jewish mourning rituals to embrace loss and grief. Based on the ritual of Shloshim, Craig created 30 Days, a Journey of Love, Loss and Healing, a unique package of thirty cards, each with a moving introspection from a poet, faith leader, artist, healer or author, to help people on their journey toward hope and healing.
