This Shabbat, together with young men and woman around the world, I received Torah. Thanks to the generosity of Rabbi Joshua Grater and Jeff Landau of Pasadena Jewish Temple, the Pico Union Project is the proud recipient of a sacred Torah. In receiving this beautiful scroll, we also accepted the responsibility to act justly, pursue justice and love our neighbors as ourselves. Pretty cool.
